Cengage Gale (formerly Thomson Gale Publishing) created a reading list recommendation site for individuals and libraries utilizing their extensive collection of fiction and non-fiction titles. The site provides a free service that helps librarians make authoritative reading suggestions based on a wide range of titles and genres to their local communities. When it was time to add a Reading Room that allows registered users to create reading lists, mark favorites, and write reviews, they asked Black Pepper to recommend features and functionality based on an review of peer sites and to fit the Reading Room into the existing site architecture. We provided a solution that worked within the navigation structure and made the most of the content Books & Authors has to offer.
